Locust Lake Ringers
After 20 plus years of having fun in the shade, under the trees at Locust Lake, we decided to make it official and form a club
Every Sunday at 1 PM, 10 to 20 of us get together at the horseshoe pits at Locust Lake and try to organize a Sunday horseshoe tournament. Rain or shine, we are down there almost every Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. So we are inviting all adults to come on down and join us. If you have some experience tossing shoes or would like to get some experience, come on down around 12:45PM on a Sunday afternoon and toss your name into the hat with the rest of us.
Note: We pick new 2 man teams for each game so you do not need a partner. In fact, if you have a horseshoe partner your chances of being teamed with that person is the luck of the draw. This keeps the teams fairly matched and you get to meet someone new each game. Also, bring your beverage of choice and a couple of dollars for each game.
Even if you do not play, come on down and watch. Cheering, booing and tall story telling is encouraged.
Thanks,
Howard Powell
