Chairs: Eileen Binns & Carrie Pohl

Mission Statement: The Fair Hearing Committee is an advisory Committee of members, appointed by the Chairman of the Board. This committee is specifically mentioned in the "Definition" section of the regulations of Locust Lake Village and its duties are defined in the "Appeals and Procedures"section of the regulations. The Fair Hearing Committee schedules meetings when requests are received from homeowners who have received citations for violations of the regulations and wish to appeal these citations. Upon receipt of a written request from a homeowner, the committee sends a letter advising the requester of the time and place of the hearing and setting forth the procedures to be followed by all participants. The Committee takes testimony from the homeowner, the Ranger who issued the citation, and any other witnesses who have information relevant to the matter. The Committee members immediately deliberate after the parties have testified and gives their decision to the appellant. The appellant has the right to appeal to the Board of Directors if dissatisfied with the committee's verdict. The meetings of the Fair Hearing Committee are not public since these proceedings involve disciplinary matters.
